The Season

Good morning, Jessica here!  Today I’m experimenting with new techniques while visiting one of our first stamp sets, Round Diamonds!  Here’s my card:

I was looking at Virginia’s stunning cards from yesterday’s post and I happened to look up and see this gorgeous card that Virginia sent me a few weeks ago hanging on my display board.  It reminded me that I’ve been wanting to experiment with that alcohol ink technique so I decided to give it a try!

To start off I applied drops of Pool and Sailboat Blue alcohol ink to a cotton swab and then sponged it on a piece of glossy cardstock.  Once the inks were dry I stamped the round diamonds with versamark and heat-embossed them with silver powder.  Then I applied Windsor and Newton iridescent medium to the gems and then coated some of them with glossy accents and set them aside to…
